MOONWALK ON HEELS UNDERWATER 👠 💦 MOONWALK ON HEELS UNDERWATER 👠 💦 ⠀ 🌙 I wanted to take the classic moonwalk and push it into something more elevated and unexpected. ⠀ 💧 Performing it on heels was not easy at all — I kept losing balance and tripping on the floor multiple times. It took over 20 takes to finally make the movement look smooth and controlled. Once I transitioned upside down, I had to fully engage my core to stay stable and keep my alignment. ⠀ 🌙 An upside-down moonwalk looks effortless on video, but in reality it requires precision and control. Before executing it, I spent time connecting with the surface of the water and repeatedly practicing the movement until I developed a clear sense of how my heels interact with the surface, so they wouldn’t break through or pop out. ⠀ #UnderwaterDancer #moonwalk #underwater #michaeljackson #underwaterworld
The Dance of the Knights from Prokofiev's The Dance of the Knights from Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet. The scene takes place at the Capulet ball. Romeo has entered enemy territory. As the knights march in ceremonial formation behind him, Prokofiev's score does something extraordinary, it makes you feel the weight of an entire aristocratic world, its power, its rules, its inevitability. The brass section descends like a threat. The rhythm is not a dance — it's a procession. A warning. Fate announcing itself. Romeo stands in the middle of it all — young, out of place, already falling for the wrong person in the wrong house. When Prokofiev first presented the ballet, some critics and dancers considered the score difficult to dance to because of its unusual rhythms and structure. Prokofiev revised parts of the work during production, and it would later become one of the most performed ballet scores in history.
