Kimi Antonelli estrena este fin de semana su histórico título de campeón de la Fórmula Uno. Lo hará en el Gran Premio de Sao Paulo. Y el circuito de Saa Paulo es especial para el joven italiano.
Antonelli correrá por primera vez como monarca del Mundial en el país de su ídolo:Artyn Senna. En esas tierras aprovechará de rendir homenaje al tres veces campeón de la F1 y ganador de más de 40 carreras.
El italiano presentó el nuevo casco que utilizará durante el fin de semana en Interlagos, con una decoración inspirada en el histórico piloto brasileño.
"Este es mi nuevo casco para el Gran Premio de Brasil. Quiero decir, realmente lo amé. _Es un homenaje a Brasil, a Ayrton Senna, obviamente mi ídolo. Como pueden ver aquí, tenemos la S de Senna. Tenemos el cambio en H porque han pasado 35 años desde que Ayrton ganó su GP en casa atascado en la sexta marcha"_, explicó "Kimi".
"Es un casco muy especial. Y realmente espero que les guste y ojalá sea un gran fin de semana", agregó.
El diseño combina el amarillo, el verde y el azul, los colores característicos del casco que utilizaba Senna y que representan a la bandera de Brasil.
Además, incorpora una versión estilizada de la letra "S" y un detalle muy particular: el dibujo de una caja de cambios, que hace referencia a uno de los momentos más recordados de la carrera del tricampeón mundial.
La elección no es casualidad. En 2026 se cumplen 35 años de la primera victoria de Ayrton Senna en el Gran Premio de Brasil, conseguida en 1991, cuando protagonizó una actuación histórica al volante de su McLaren.
En aquella competencia disputada en Interlagos, el brasileño sufrió problemas en la caja de cambios y debió completar las últimas vueltas utilizando únicamente la sexta marcha. A pesar de las dificultades, consiguió mantenerse adelante y quedarse con un triunfo inolvidable frente a su público.
